You can use your event website as an event app. This shortcut with custom (branded) app icon will appear on the home screen of your visitors’ smartphones or tablets.
Activating the shortcut
Activate the shortcut in the Website Module (Step 2) - Mobile - Activate web app pop-up.
Installing the shortcut to the home screen
When the event website is visited from a smartphone or tablet for the first time, a pop-up appears, explaining how to create a short cut to the home screen.
The shortcut can also be created manually at a later moment. Different types of smartphones have a slightly different approach, but in general the procedure is as follows: open the event website, tick the browser icon and the option ‘Add to home screen’.
Event app page
You can use the ‘event app’ page of your website to inform your visitors on how to add the shortcut to their smartphone. Add the event app page in the Website Module (Step 3).
TIP: Inform your visitors about this option shortly before the event. Explain the procedure and maximise the use of your event website during the event.
