For Momice Check-in, you can purchase label printers yourself or rent a printer set from Momice. Below, you’ll find what you need and which option best fits your situation.
What equipment do you need?
To print badges, you need one or more label printers.
To check in visitors and control the printers, you use a compatible mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
Please note: iPads or tablets are optional and do not need to be purchased specifically for Momice Check-in. You can also use your own compatible smartphones or tablets.
This means your upfront investment can be lower if you already have suitable mobile devices available.
Buying printers
Do you organize events regularly? In that case, purchasing your own label printers may be more cost-effective.
A label printer costs: €390 per printer. Additional costs may apply for labels and other supplies.
Set with 2 printers
With 2 printers, you can check in approximately 150 to 250 visitors per hour contactlessly and provide each visitor with a personalized badge.

Set with 3 printers
With 3 printers, you can check in approximately 250 to 350 visitors per hour contactlessly and provide each visitor with a personalized badge.

Renting printers
Would you like to try Momice Check-in first, or do you only need the printers for a limited number of events? You can rent a printer set from Momice.
The rental prices are:
Set with 2 printers: €449
Set with 3 printers: €629
Renting can be a good option if you are using Momice Check-in for the first time and want to find out which setup works best for your events.
Buy or rent?
Which option is more cost-effective depends on how often you use the printers.
If you use Momice Check-in regularly, purchasing your own printers may be more economical. If you only need the printers occasionally or want to test the solution first, renting offers more flexibility.
Tip: Do you already have compatible smartphones or tablets? You can use them for check-in. There is no need to purchase separate iPads or tablets.
Other costs
In addition to the hardware, there are variable costs such as print credits, badges, lanyards, and clips.
One print credit is deducted from your account balance for each participant you check in. You can purchase print credits from Momice per event or for the entire year.
You can purchase badges, lanyards, and clips from your own supplier or have them designed and ordered through Momice. Badge prices range from €0.36 to €2.00 each, depending on the size, finish, and quantity.
