Skip logic determines which follow-up questions a respondent sees. It helps you skip questions that are not relevant to that person.
For example:
Did you attend a workshop?
Yes → show questions about the workshop.
No → continue to the next relevant question.
This keeps your survey shorter and more relevant.
When can you use skip logic?
Please note: Skip logic only works with closed-ended questions where the respondent can select one answer.
This also applies to all questions between the starting question and the question you are directing the respondent to. This means that all questions in this route must be closed-ended questions with a single answer option. Skip logic does not work in combination with the "Other" answer option.
Before setting up skip logic, check that all questions in the route meet these requirements.
Set up skip logic
Create all survey questions first.
Decide at which question the respondent’s path should change.
Open this question.
Enable "Skip Logic".
For each answer, select the question the respondent should continue to.
Open the question that should only appear within this route.
Enable "Only show this question at Skip Logic response".
Review the full survey and all configured paths.
Test skip logic
Test every possible path before activating your survey. Check:
which question appears after each answer
whether questions are skipped correctly
whether respondents can complete every path
whether all relevant questions are displayed
Tip: Change one setting at a time while testing. This makes it easier to identify where an issue occurs.
