With a data enrichment you can add new information to the existing registration data. For example, hall numbers for participants, lottery codes or adding personal data.
Please note!
Always make an export of the entire registration file before performing any data enrichment. Keep this as a back up in case something goes wrong.
Make sure you always link the data you re-import to the correct Momice field, otherwise data may be overwritten.
If you delete the 'Lists' column from the Excel file, and then re-import it, all participants will end up on a new list. Prevent this by always exporting and re-importing the 'list name' column with a data enrichment.
Always delete all empty columns from the Excel file. This will prevent any empty columns from being imported, this for overwriting data.
You perform a data enrichment after the registration is complete. To do this, you take the following steps:
1. Make a complete export of your registration file. Should something go wrong during data enrichment, you will always have the complete file.
2. Create a new export of the data you want to enrich. Usually these are the people who signed up.
3. In this second export, remove all columns except:
a. First name
b. Insert
c. Last name
d. E-mail address
e. List name
f. Registration ID
4. Add a new row, and place the data you would like to enrich here. Make sure to give the field a clear name.
5. If you want to import multiple columns, you can of course do that as well.
6. Save the file under a clear name, and import the file into Momice.
7. Click on 'add invitee' and then on 'import list'. Select the completed Excel file and give the list a name. The new list name does not matter, because by default the file is not imported on a new list name.
8. Link the imported fields to the Momice fields. Import the field that contains the new information as a hidden field. Now click next.
9. Check that there are no errors in the document and click 'import'.
10. The data is now enriched.
11. Go through your database randomly to make sure everything went right.
12. The newly added information can now be added to an e-mail or used in some other way.
