Use different login codes and scan points to control where users can scan attendees and which features and data are available to them.
For example, you can create a separate login code for an entrance, exit, or workshop. You can also adjust settings for each login code, such as searching by name and displaying personal data.
Link a login code to a scan point
Log in to the correct event.
Go to Ticket Module > Check-in.
If necessary, create a new scan point by clicking "Add" under Scanning points.
Give the scan point a clear name, such as Entrance, Exit, or Workshop 1.
Click the pencil icon next to the login code you want to edit.
Select the scan point you want to link to this login code.
Make sure "Active" is selected.
Click "Save".
Tip: Use clear names for scan points. This helps scanner users immediately understand what each scan point is used for, such as an entrance, exit, or specific workshop.
Enable or disable search by name
For each login code, you can decide whether users are allowed to search for attendees manually.
Disable "Manual search by name active" when a user only needs to scan QR codes.
This is useful, for example, when you work with external scanner users or hosts who do not need to search for attendees.
Limit personal data with Privacy mode
Use Privacy mode when scanner users only need to see the information required to identify and check in an attendee.
When Privacy mode is enabled, the scan result only shows:
the attendee's name
the check-in status
the ticket title
Other registration data is hidden from the scanner user.
This can include:
email address
company
answers to registration questions or form fields
dietary requirements
information about special assistance or accessibility needs
The hidden data remains available to authorized users in the Registration Module.
Enable Privacy mode
In Momice, go to Ticket Module > Check-in > Activate Check-in app.
Click the pencil icon next to the login code you want to edit.
Enable "Privacy mode".
Select the scan points you want to link to this login code.
Click "Save".
This setting applies to users who scan using this login code.
Please note: Privacy mode hides registration data from scanner users in the scan result. The data is not removed from the registration and remains available to authorized users in the Registration Module.
Tip: Enable Privacy mode when you share login codes with external parties, exhibitors, or temporary staff who only need to scan attendees. This helps limit the amount of personal data they can see during check-in.
Use multiple login codes
You can create multiple login codes by clicking "Add login code".
This allows you to use different settings for different groups of users.
For example, you can:
create a login code for your own event team
use a separate login code for hosts
give external scanner users access only to specific scan points
disable search by name
enable Privacy mode to hide registration data
Tip: Give each login code a clear purpose and link it only to the scan points that are needed.
Scan point and login code limits
Please note: You can use up to 5 scan points at no additional cost. Additional fees apply if you need more scan points.
You can create up to 50 login codes. This limit cannot be increased. However, you can reuse existing login codes and link them to different scan points.
