When an invitee unsubscribes from your event, that person's status changes in the Registration Module. In this article, you can read what that means and what actions are still possible.
What happens to an unsubscribed invitee?
If an invitee unsubscribes:
you can only find this person in the "Cancelled" tab in the Registration Module
you can view the reason for unsubscribing for each person
this person is no longer included in the overall summary in the Registration Module
no more emails can be sent to this person for this event
Please note: no email may be sent to an unsubscribed invitee for this event. This is required by law.
Can you email unsubscribed invitees?
No, it is not possible to send an email directly to invitees who have unsubscribed.
There is, however, a technical workaround.
How it works
First, export the list of unsubscribed invitees.
Then go to the "Cancelled" tab in the Registration Module.
Manually delete all unsubscribed invitees by clicking the cross-icon next to each name.
Then import the list again.
After that, you can filter this list and email those people after all.
Please note
Only use this method if it complies with applicable laws and regulations and your internal policies regarding communication and privacy.
When can you not delete unsubscribed invitees?
Unsubscribed invitees cannot be deleted if access tickets have been sold within the event.
Can you add an unsubscribed invitee again?
Yes, unsubscribed invitees can be added manually again and re-invited.
How to register someone again
Go to the Registration Module.
Click "Add guests."
Select "Add manually."
Add the invitee manually again.
Set the status directly to "Registered."
Send the registration confirmation.
Then delete the old registration under "Cancelled" by clicking the cross-icon next to the name.
Tip: check carefully in advance whether the invitee should be added again as a new registration, or whether only the status needs to be changed. This helps prevent duplicate registrations.
