Requesting a refund

Read how to return your invitee's ticket amount in this article

Updated yesterday

When a visitor has purchased a ticket and cancels their attendance, it is up to the organizer to decide whether the purchase amount will be refunded. A refund can easily be processed via the Registration Module. Under the tabs ‘Registered’ and ‘Cancelled’, you will find the option to request a refund for each registration. From the ‘Registered’ tab, you also have the option to cancel a guest’s registration directly.

How it works:

  • Click the pencil icon next to the registration under ‘Registered’ or ‘Cancelled’.

  • Click on the ‘Refund’ tab.

  • Check the option ‘‘I understand the refund can't be reversed’.

  • Click on the ‘Refund’ button.

PLEASE NOTE: The guest will receive 100% of the ticket amount paid. Momice retains the right to charge the service fee, and the transaction costs to Adyen are at the organizer's own expense.

The refund will be processed using the same payment method the participant used to purchase the ticket. After clicking the ‘Refund’ button, Momice will show the refund status as ‘In Progress’ or ‘Completed’. Any additional costs related to the refund will be charged and deducted from the final revenue payout.

Please Note:

  • The service fee and transaction costs to Adyen are at the organizer's own expense.

  • Once a refund has been processed, it cannot be cancelled or reversed.

  • Only the full ticket amount can be refunded – partial refunds are not possible.

  • Ticket refunds are not automated. As the organizer, you must manually request the refund via the Registration Module.

  • The refunded amount will be returned immediately upon processing, depending on the payment method used. Please note that revenue statistics may differ due to the processing time between Momice and Adyen.

  • It is not possible to refund 100% of the total event revenue due to fixed costs for Momice (service fee and Adyen transaction costs).

  • Revenue payouts cannot be made while refunds are still in progress. Please keep in mind that processing may take some time.

  • Refunds can only be processed once the original payment has been fully settled by Adyen. This process may take up to 72 hours. After that, the refund can be requested.

  • If a partial payout of the revenue has already taken place, no further refunds can be processed.

  • A refund is not possible if the available revenue is lower than the total Momice costs (service fee and Adyen transaction costs).

  • Once the event revenue has been paid out, no additional refunds can be made to participants.

  • The payout specification will clearly show which refunds were processed and what costs were deducted.

PLEASE NOTE: It is not possible to request a refund via support. If a refund can no longer be requested, this will be clearly indicated within Momice.
