Fix the wrong date or time in the calendar link

Are attendees seeing the wrong date or time in their calendar invite after registration? This article explains which event, program, and ticket settings to check to fix the issue.

Are attendees seeing the wrong date or time in their calendar after registering? Check your event, program, and entry ticket settings.

The calendar link uses different information from your event. Which date and time are used depends on how your event is set up.

Where does the calendar link get the date and time from?

By default, the times shown in the calendar link are based on the start and end time on the Program page of your event website.

Have you filled in "Valid through (optional)" for an entry ticket? If so, Momice uses these times for registered attendees instead of the program times.

1. Check the event date

Go to Settings Module > Basic and check the start and end date of your event.

Has your event been moved to another date? Make sure to also check all other places where the old date may still appear.

For more information, see the article: Move an event to another date.

2. Check the Program page

Go to Website Module > Pages > Program page.

Check:

  1. The date of the program items.

  2. The start time of the first program item.

  3. The end time of the last program item.

By default, these times determine the start and end time of the calendar link.

Please note: An incorrect date or time in a program item can cause the calendar link to show the wrong information.

3. Check the entry ticket times

Are you using entry tickets? Check whether different access times have been set for the ticket.

Go to: Ticket Module > Entry Tickets > Advanced > Valid through (optional).

If a date and times are entered here, Momice uses this information for attendees registered for that specific entry ticket.

Update the details if they do not match the correct date and time of your event.

4. Check the registration confirmation

Next, check whether the correct date and time are also shown in the registration confirmation.

Go to the Mail Module and open the registration confirmation.

Check:

  • the subject line

  • the email text

  • any dates or times that were entered manually

Update any outdated information where necessary.

Has the event recently been moved?

If you have moved the event to another date, checking only the calendar link is not enough.

Also check other places where the event date may appear, such as:

  • the event website

  • program items

  • emails

  • the registration confirmation

  • tickets and e-tickets

  • headers and other communication

Use the full checklist in Move an event to another date.
