Streaming across different time zones

Make use of the set time zone option so that your invitees see the correct times on the Program page

Updated today

With the time zone setting enabled, participants automatically see the correct times on the Program page for their own time zone. This is especially useful for online and hybrid events.

This means participants do not have to convert the times themselves.

How does the time zone feature work?

As the organizer, you select the time zone from which the event is hosted, for example: Europe/Amsterdam.

Momice then automatically adjusts the start and end times of the program items based on the participant’s time zone. Is a participant in a different time zone from the organizer? If so, a message will automatically appear on the Program page to indicate that the displayed times have been adjusted.

Enabling the time zone feature

Follow these steps to enable the time zone feature:

  1. Go to the Website Module.

  2. Open the Program page.

  3. Select the time zone from which the event is hosted, for example: Europe/Amsterdam.

  4. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

After that, the start and end times on the Program page will automatically be adjusted for participants in other time zones.

Calendar integration

Once the time zone feature is enabled, it also applies to the calendar link you send to participants.

The appointment will then automatically be added to their calendar at the correct time, based on their own time zone.

What does the participant see?

Is a participant in a different time zone from the organizer? If so, Momice will automatically display a fixed message on the Program page.

Please note: this text is set by default. You cannot edit or remove it.

The message is only shown if the participant is actually in a different time zone.
