Follow the steps below to complete an event check yourself

Updated over a week ago

How can you do an event check yourself? It is important to do an event check before sharing your event website with your attendees. Go through the Modules and steps below to check your event.

Website Module (step 1) - Event data

  1. Did you choose open registration or personal registration? Make sure you have made the right choice. Read more here if you are using open or personal registration.

  2. Are you using the personal registration? It is important that all invitees are in the Registration Module. Only the invitees who have been imported can register with the e-mail address or unique code.

  3. Are you using open registration and have imported a list of invitees? Check your buttons and hyperlinks in the Mail Module. Always use two buttons. An open registration button and a personalized button. Read more about how to do this here. Having doubts if you used the right button setting? Contact our support before sending the invitation.

  4. Have you selected close registration by date? Make sure you have selected the right closing date and that the date is not in the past. Have you chosen a maximum number of participants? Then also check if the number is correct.

Website Module (step 3)

  1. Click the "Desktop preview" button on the right side of the screen under the phone. Go down all your event pages. Are all the texts correct? Are all colors in the house style?

  2. Are you using multilingual events? Then don't forget to check website and tickets in the other language as well.

Ticket Module - Access Tickets

  1. Are you using multiple access tickets? Open all access tickets with the pencil icon and check that all settings are correct. Check the following fields:

    - 'Start and end date ticket availability'; this is the period when registration is open and the ticket can be selected.

    - 'Time slot for scanning tickets'; within this date and time the e-tickets can be scanned on the day(s) of the event.

    - 'Valid through (optional)'; this date is reflected in the agenda link.

  2. Do you have lists associated with your admission tickets? For all access tickets, make sure you have selected the correct list.

Ticket Module - E-ticket

  1. Are you using an e-ticket? Click on the 'Download e-ticket preview' button to check if it is completely to your wishes.

  2. Are there registration questions shown on the e-ticket and you do not want this? Go to the registration page in step 3 of the Website Module. Click on the pencil behind the relevant registration question and check the box behind 'Show this field on the e-ticket'. Uncheck your admission ticket(s) below.

Mail Module

  1. Test your invitation by sending it to yourself and possibly colleagues. Open your concept with the pencil icon. Click 'Select invitees form list' and select yourself or a colleague here. Select only one person to avoid testing your own invitation. After this click on 'Test and send', choose 'Go to test'. Enter your own email address here or that of your colleague. Please note: if you enter your own email address and that of your colleague, you will both receive the same test email, with the details of the person you selected.

  2. Click all the buttons and hyperlinks in your invitation. Test if they all work correctly. Click the Register button and register yourself for the event.

  3. Check the registration confirmation you receive. Also click on all the buttons and any hyperlinks here. Also check that the salutation is correct.
